Dr Helen graduated as a medical doctor from the university of Leeds medical school in 1997.

She completed basic training posts in medicine and surgery and then paediatrics, gaining a Diploma in Child Health before specialising in child mental health.

Dr Helen worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Yorkshire and Oxford before qualifying as a consultant. She has worked in an NHS out patient clinic and then in adolescent inpatient services at consultant level. 

She has a special interest in children and young people with mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. She also has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing ADHD. 

Unfortunately she is not able to offer help with autism assessment or diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders in this setting without a multidisciplinary team.
